Tea is pronounced “Dae” (ㄉˊㄟ) in Taiwanese, and that’s why we chose this name for our brand. We are siblings—Calvin in London and Kimberly in San Francisco—who share a deep connection to Taiwan. No matter where life takes us, tea has always been a way to bring a little piece of home with us. Now, we want to share something truly special from our home with you.

We grew up drinking tea, but never thought much about it. It was simply part of daily life. But as we began exploring Taiwan’s tea farms, meeting generations of tea makers, and learning about the craft, we realized just how much artistry goes into every cup. The more we learned, the more fascinated we became—not just by the tea itself, but by the people, the land, and the centuries-old traditions that make it so special.
